Job description

Description: Roseville Area Schools has a vacancy for a Nepali cultural liaison to work primarily with Central Park Elementary and Roseville Area High School building teams under the general direction of the building principalsย and district-wide under the supervision of the multilingual program administrator. This position is part-time (daytime and some evenings), 20 hours per week (4 hours per day) following a 185-day calendar beginning September 1, 2026.

Position Responsibilities:ย 

  • Engage with students, staff and families to promote and support Nepali student achievement through bridging the gap between the culture at home and the learning environment;
  • Promote meaningful communication between home and school;
  • Work with individual or small groups of students so as to reduce the role of race in predicting student outcomes;
  • Provide information and insight to educatorsย and Special Education IEP teams about students'ย race, cultural, socioeconomic, and linguistic background;
  • Assist educators and leaders in understanding how racial, cultural, socioeconomic, and linguistic factors impact educational progress;
  • Facilitate students' parents' understanding and involvement in the educational program and knowledge of their rights under district policies.

Compensation: Starting salary range is $24.45 - $28.29 per hour withย rate of pay determined by experience.ย
