Job Title: NEMT Transport Driver - CONTRACT ROLE
Job Summary:
Level 4 Transit is experiencing tremendous growth! We are seeking reliable and experienced Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Drivers to join our team. The NEMT Driver will be responsible for safely transporting passengers or goods to their destinations in a timely manner. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in commercial driving with excellent communication skills including use of digital routing applications. Level 4 Transit compensates our drivers well because we only hire and maintain candidates providing exceptional customer service while exuding cleanliness and quality always.
Duties:
  • Safely operate various types of vehicles to transport passengers or goods
  • Communicate effectively with passengers or clients to ensure a pleasant experience
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and management
  • Utilize dispatch and scheduling tools
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety
  • Provide assistance to passengers with special needs
  • Handle and secure passengers and their cargo properly, including heavy lifting when necessary
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle always
  • Promote business including distribution of marketing materials and/or participation in marketing events

Preference:
Highest pay rates for those that:
  • Have directly served as a NEMT driver or trainer for 2+ years
  • Have and maintain zero traffic infractions while serving role and for the previous 5 years
  • Possess a State of Texas NEMT Certification
  • Perform training
  • Perform duties nights, weekends and holidays (when tacked onto a regular weekday schedule)

Requirements
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role
  • Pass Drug Screen, Background, and Motor Vehicle Report check. (No Felonies or aggressive misdemeanors/ No Suspension in past 5 years)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to drive for extended periods of time
  • Familiarity with shuttle driving, limousine, or school bus driving is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and safety protocols
  • AVAILABILITY FOR: Nights, Weekends, Evening, Holiday, Long Haul Rides (4+ hours)
