Interventional Cardiology (Non-Structural)Location: Abingdon, Virginia

Our organization is a leading cardiovascular specialty group in the region, attracting patients from multiple states. The cardiologist will be based at our facility in Abingdon, Virginia.

We are proud to have a team of over 40 cardiologists, which includes specialists in non-invasive cardiology, interventional procedures with peripheral vascular skills, vascular surgery, electrophysiology, cardiothoracic surgery, and more than 35 physician extenders.

Recognized nationally, our practice is at the forefront of cardiovascular care in the area.

We are a progressive organization, featuring top-tier physicians and providers dedicated to all facets of cardiovascular health.

Our advanced cardiovascular care system includes the only regional STEMI transfer program in the state, active research initiatives with publications in prestigious journals such as NEJM, and well-established vascular and structural heart programs.

Position Overview

This is a full-time opportunity within a well-established and stable group.

Qualified candidates will work at our clinic in Abingdon, Virginia, and will have access to the Johnston Memorial Hospital Cath Lab, which is equipped with cutting-edge technology.

The team will include one Invasive Cardiologist, two Interventional Cardiologists, Nurse Practitioners, and a dedicated support staff.

Additional assistance will be available as needed.

  • The Philips Cath Lab features advanced cardiac support devices such as Laser, Volcano, EKOS, CardioMEMs, Penumbra, IABP, and Impella.
  • We offer the only 24/7 STEMI service in Southwest Virginia, handling around 80 STEMIs annually.
  • On-site CHF clinic available.
  • Three experienced advanced practitioners to support the practice.

  • Advanced Imaging Department equipped with a Siemens 128-slice CT for calcium scoring and coronary CTA capabilities.
