Job description

As part of the Celeste Security Team, your main responsibility is to ensure the safety and protection of the property, our employees, and our guests. Reporting to management, ensuring high standards of hospitality and the safety of our guests and staff.

ABOUT CELESTE: Housed in a historic Louis Sullivan building, Celeste beautifully answers the question of where to enjoy delicious food and flawlessly executed cocktails served without pretense in Chicago's River North neighborhood.


SECURITY GUARD’S RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Ensuring safety of all guests and employees within the venue.
  • Work side by side with other security personnel in an active role of security throughout the venue.
  • Handling security issues and/or emergency situations appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • Reporting safety concerns and unusual circumstances to management.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with all management to address any issues or concerns as they arise.
  • Participating in property meetings as scheduled to address any issues.
  • Assisting with various special events as assigned by the management team.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1 year experience in a similar role preferred
  • Emotional intelligence and good character judgment
  • Ability to assess your own behavior, while also paying attention to employees, patrons and visitors
  • Listening skills
  • Willingness to learn and enforce safety procedures
  • Comfort with directing people or taking up leadership responsibilities
  • Attention to detail
