Job Description:
POSITION: Adjunct Faculty - Educational Studies: Business and Professional Studies Division; Haverhill (100 Elliott Street) or Lawrence campuses (45 Franklin Street); MCCC/MTA DCE Unit Position
SUMMARY: For Summer 2026, we are seeking an instructor for Introduction to Teaching (EDU101) as part of the CTE Educator initiative with the Greater Lawrence Technical School. This accelerated course will run from June 29 through August 7, 2026, and will be offered in a face-to-face format.
We are additionally seeking instructors to join our Adjunct Faculty pool to teach Education and CTE Educator-related courses on an as-needed basis. Classes are typically offered at NECC's Haverhill and/or Lawrence campuses during daytime and evening hours, as well as online, face-to-face, and in hybrid formats.
A list of potential courses can be found online in the Course Catalog. Course descriptions are available on the NECC website.
Please note: Positions will be available pending sufficient enrollment.
REPORTS TO: Dean of Business and Professional Studies
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Teach assigned courses according to Academic Catalog description and established departmental student learning outcomes.
  • Adhere to all NECC policies and MCCC contract requirements, including policies regarding grading, deadlines, evaluation process, and syllabus requirements.

Qualifications:

Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master's degree in Education or related field
  • Experience teaching in a related discipline at the college level
  • Experience using technology in instruction and assessment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Community College teaching experience
  • Experience with online and hybrid teaching and experiential learning
  • Experience with Brightspace Learning Management System
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
  • Experience working with and supporting a culturally diverse population

Additional Information:
SALARY: $1,512.00/credit - $1,826.00/credit, per credit based on DCE step, per the DCE Contract, non-benefited.
