Job description

NECC Coordinator (Director) 12 Month Position

General Requirements for a Director:

  1. Be at least 18 years old
  2. Be a graduate of a high school or hold an equivalent diploma attained through successful completion of the commissioner of education-selected high school equivalency test
  3. Have at least 1,040 hours paid or unpaid staff supervision experience
  4. Have at least nine quarter credits or 90 hours earned in any combination of accredited courses in staff supervision, human relations and child development

General Function:

  1. Accountable to Superintendent
  2. Supervise and manage staff and center
  3. Develop and attend yearly week long trainings
  4. Work as part of NECC Team
  5. Provide breaks for staff
  6. Sub when staff is unavailable
  7. Provide 30 minute lunch breaks
  8. Coordinate training for staff
  9. Post, hire, evaluate and schedule NECC staff
  10. Timesheets
  11. Monitor Grants

Daily Expectations:

  1. Communicate positively and effectively with NECC families at all times
  2. Maintain and lead a positive learning environment and daily educational experience for the children

Competitive Pay and Benefits

  1. Starting wage: $20.00/hr. may increase with proven experience
  2. PTO: 15 days annually
  3. Vacation: Holidays and Paid vacations determined by contract
