Job description

Application Deadline: 08/07/2026 Position Summary: JGMS Government Services is looking to hire an electrical engineer that will work within a project team environment to support construction projects. This position is full-time and will be performed on-site in Niskayuna, NY. Candidates must have an active DOE L security clearance. Job Duties and Responsibilities: * Work with a project team to develop specifications, cost estimates, drawing reviews, and provide engineering support during the construction phase for buildings and utility projects. * Oversee architectural engineering firms in developing concept designs, construction documents, and cost estimates.
* Coordinate and interact with facility staff and contractors. Requirements Required Qualifications: * Bachelor of science in electrical engineering.
* 5-10+ years experience performing electrical engineering tasks including the development of contract documents, calculations, and cost estimates.
* Working knowledge of building codes and standards.
* Experience in construction administration (submittal review, RFI's, construction inspections, etc.). Desired Qualifications: * EIT certificate and/or PE license
* Engineering consulting experience
* Working knowledge of NEC Security Clearance: Candidates must have an active DOE L security clearance.
