NDT Sales & Estimating Representative Job Summary The NDT Sales & Estimating Representative is responsible for driving business growth by developing customer relationships, identifying new opportunities, preparing accurate quotations, and supporting customers with technical solutions for nondestructive testing and inspection services. This role combines business development, customer service, and estimating functions, requiring a strong understanding of NDT methods, industry applications, client requirements, and pricing strategies within the oil & gas, petrochemical, manufacturing, infrastructure, and power generation industries. Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development โ€ข Respond to incoming inquiries regarding NDT, inspection, and quality assurance services via phone, email, and online channels. โ€ข Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and outbound sales efforts. โ€ข Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, engineers, quality managers, procurement personnel, and project stakeholders. โ€ข Promote NDT and inspection capabilities, including RT, UT, PAUT, MT, PT, PMI, Hardness Testing, Visual Inspection, and related services. โ€ข Prepare, submit, and follow up on quotations, proposals, and service agreements. โ€ข Maintain an active sales pipeline and track opportunities through the sales process. โ€ข Conduct customer outreach campaigns and follow-up activities to expand existing accounts and generate new business. โ€ข Participate in customer visits, industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to increase market visibility. โ€ข Collaborate with operations personnel to ensure customer requirements are thoroughly understood and effectively communicated. Estimating & Technical Support โ€ข Review customer specifications, drawings, inspection requirements, codes, standards, and Requests for Quote (RFQs) to develop accurate pricing proposals. โ€ข Evaluate project scope, labor requirements, equipment needs, travel expenses, and inspection schedules. โ€ข Prepare estimates for shop and field inspection services, including conventional and advanced NDT applications. โ€ข Coordinate with operations, Level III personnel, and project managers to verify technical requirements and execution plans. โ€ข Obtain pricing from suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers when required. โ€ข Develop comprehensive cost estimates, bid packages, and commercial proposals that align with customer requirements and company objectives. โ€ข Support project planning, budgeting, and contract reviews during pre-award activities. โ€ข Monitor estimate accuracy and assist with continuous improvement of pricing models and estimating processes. โ€ข Maintain familiarity with applicable industry codes, standards, and customer specifications to support technical sales discussions. Preferred Qualifications โ€ข Experience in Nondestructive Testing (NDT), Quality Assurance, Inspection Services, or Industrial Services sales. โ€ข Knowledge of NDT methods, including RT, UT, PAUT, MT, PT, VT, PMI, and Hardness Testing. โ€ข Familiarity with ASME, API, AWS, ASTM, and customer-specific inspection requirements. โ€ข Strong communication, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills. โ€ข Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and inspection requirements. โ€ข Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and estimating software. โ€ข Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Performance Objectives โ€ข Generate new NDT service opportunities and grow existing customer accounts. โ€ข Deliver timely and accurate quotations and proposals. โ€ข Maintain high customer satisfaction and retention rates. โ€ข Collaborate effectively with operations and technical personnel to ensure successful project execution. โ€ข Meet or exceed individual sales and revenue targets.
