Quality Control Inspector

Our client is a respected, family-owned manufacturer serving the rail transit and electrical utility industries with a reputation for quality, innovation, and craftsmanship. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative team where your expertise will directly impact product quality and operational success.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
-Perform dimensional, visual, and functional inspections using precision measuring equipment, vision systems, and testing instruments to ensure product quality and compliance.
-Conduct first-article, in-process, incoming material, and final inspections while providing real-time feedback to production teams.
-Identify, document, and process nonconforming materials, support root cause investigations, and recommend corrective actions.
-Assist with quality system activities including calibration programs, internal audits, and compliance with company quality standards.
Required Skills & Experience
-Minimum 4 years of quality inspection or quality control experience within a manufacturing environment.
-Proficiency using precision inspection tools including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, thread gauges, and go/no-go gauges.
-Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T specifications, and weld symbols.
-Strong communication and computer skills with the ability to support digital quality processes and documentation.
Preferred Skills & Experience
-Experience inspecting welds and brazed assemblies; AWS CWI certification or related training is a plus.
-Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems, CMM equipment, optical comparators, or electrical testing methods such as hipot and continuity testing.
Education
-Associate degree, technical degree, trade school certification, or equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience.
