Job description

HIRING 2nd & 3rd shift!
$20.00+ per hour.

  • 2nd Shift: 1pm to 9:30pm, Monday to Friday ( 8 hour)
  • 3rd Shift: 9pm to 5:30am, Sunday to Thursday (8 hour)

We are looking for various positions within our paint & coatings production area.

  • Pre-stage
  • Draw-off (Filling)
  • Mixers/Operators

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Gather and/or retrieve raw materials for item production
  • Retrieve materials from Pre-stage to correct mill/mixer
  • Load raw materials into appropriate equipment according to production card
  • Draw-off completed batch into appropriate canisters, according to batch order
  • Keep work area organized and clean
  • Perform general housekeeping to ensure a safe working environment
  • Record lot #’s for all assembled raw materials.
  • Initial production card on all assembled raw materials.
  • Double check all pre-staged orders before allowing to leave the pre-stage area.
  • Inform Plant manager of any raw material shortages.
  • Sign off on any other steps required.
  • Assemble remainder of raw materials under supervisor’s supervision.
  • Load all materials into high speed equipment as directed by the production card.
  • High speed until the required grind is achieved.
  • After grind is achieved, finish remainder of the batch according to the production card
  • Read and review the paperwork after the paint is tagged from QC. prior to setting up anything to insure all information is correct.
  • Set up draw off pump or pan with the correct filter as prescribed on the fill sheet.
  • Retrieve proper containers and labels, verifying product and batch #’s.
  • Agitate tank prior to drawing off.
  • Do draw downs and get checked by a supervisor prior to starting.
  • Fill containers within the weight parameters as prescribed on the fill sheet.
  • Rinse and clean pump or pan after draw off is complete.
  • Fill out and sign all paperwork and log product onto the daily fill log.
  • Have supervisor check and sign off on all paperwork.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Basic math skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Willing to shave for respirators
  • forklift experience preferred but not required

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Ability to read and follow instructions
  • Basic common knowledge
  • Ability to read a scale
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and maneuver up to 650 lbs.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn and operate industrial equipment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Body Positions: Standing, sitting
  • Body Movements: Squatting, twisting, pulling, pushing, lifting, reaching, walking
