Description of Work
A Registered Nurse/HealthWest, under general supervision, performs a wide variety of professional nursing duties in various HealthWest locations in Muskegon County. An employee in this class is responsible for storage, administration, and monitoring of medications prescribed for individuals receiving services as well as for the administration of medical treatment to these individuals as authorized by a physician. An employee in this class performs other related duties as required.
Required Minimum Entrance Qualifications
1. Possess a current license to practice nursing in the State of Michigan OR
must have completed college degree in RN nursing curriculum, be eligible to take the NCLEX, pass the NCLEX and obtain an RN License within 90 days of appointment to position;
2. Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued.
3. Individuals in Recovery and individuals with experience in Armed Services valued.
4. Possess a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a Michigan Driver License within 30 days of employment.
5. Must have reliable transportation that may have to be used to carry out job duties of this classification.

EVALUATION CONTENT
Applicants for County employment may be subject to a post-offer criminal background check, depending on the nature and assignment of the position. Equal to employee annual salary to next highest $1,000. Max $200,000

Sick Leave
10 days per year, accumulated .385 days. per pay period
