The Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) is an organization of approximately 2,000 personnel of which 700 serve at HQ and the remaining staff serve at offices worldwide. NCIS is the DON component with primary responsibility for criminal investigation, law enforcement (LE), counter-terrorism (CT), counterintelligence (CI), and cyber matters. NCIS not only has primary responsibility for all criminal investigative, CI, CT, and cyber matters within the DON, but it also has exclusive investigative jurisdiction in non-combat matters involving actual, potential, or suspected criminal, terrorism, sabotage, espionage, and subversive activities.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As a VTC Administrator, the work youll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the IT Technology Development division within the NCIS ITD organization in Quantico, VA.

  • This position focuses on the installation, maintenance, and operational support of enterprise-scale Video Teleconference (VTC) systems.

  • Responsibilities center around the hands-on installation, configuration, and maintenance of VTC endpoints, related equipment, and supporting infrastructure.

  • The VTC Administrator will be responsible for scheduling and creating VTC conferences, proactively monitoring ongoing sessions to ensure quality and troubleshoot any technical issues that arise.

  • This includes basic troubleshooting of VTC and VoIP system issues, providing on-site support for conference room environments, and ensuring smooth connectivity for internal and external participants.

  • The Administrator will also maintain detailed documentation of system configurations and procedures and ensure VTC systems remain operational and compliant with applicable policies.

  • This position also handles the schedule and configuration of all meeting requests as they come in.

  • All tasks must be performed in compliance with applicable Department of War (DoW) and Department of Navy (DON) regulations, policies, and guidelines.

WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Bring your network administration expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. Our VTC Administrator must have:

  • Security Clearance Level: Active TS/SCI clearance.

  • Required Experience: 5 years of experience in VTC administration, including 1 year of specialized experience directly related to the assigned tasks.

  • Solid background in VTC systems and operations, along with experience in supporting end-users.

  • Experience with VTC hardware and software, general knowledge of data center environments, and familiarity with virtualized environments are essential.

  • Experience and knowledge in areas such as: Windows Server, Linux, VMware, and basic networking concepts.

  • Familiarity with, or experience in, cloud-based services and environments, particularly MS Teams and Cisco WebEx, is highly desirable.

  • Required Certifications: CompTIA Security+ CE

  • Education: AS / AAS Degree in technical discipline.

  • Location: Onsite at Quantico, VA

  • Position Availability: Pending contract award in late August / early September 2026 timeframe.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $40.35 - $54.59. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
