Exceptional Children (EC) Teacher

Location: Wendell Falls, NC (Near Raleigh)
Job Type: Full-Time
License Required: NCDPI EC K-12 or Adapted K-12

Job Description

We are actively seeking passionate and dedicated Exceptional Children (EC) Teachers to join a school team in the Wendell Falls area near Raleigh, NC. Opportunities are available in both Self-Contained and Resource classroom settings.

This is an excellent opportunity for educators who are committed to helping students with diverse learning needs succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

Responsibilities

? Develop and implement individualized instructional plans aligned with IEP goals

? Provide specialized instruction and accommodations to support student success

? Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families

? Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation

? Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student evaluations

? Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

Qualifications

?? Active North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) Exceptional Children Teaching License required

?? Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Exceptional Children Education, or a related field

?? Strong communication and collaboration skills

?? Ability to effectively manage classroom environments and support diverse student needs

?? Previous school-based experience preferred, but qualified new graduates are encouraged to apply
