Consumer Recovery Specialist
Northwest Center for Behavioral Health (NCBH) is seeking a dedicated Consumer Recovery Specialist to join our inpatient team to support patients and staff in the behavioral health treatment setting. This position will play an integral role in providing direct and indirect care to individuals in need of behavioral health support. As a Consumer Recovery Specialist you will assist in creating a safe, supportive environment ensuring excellent care is received. You will be instrumental in promoting wellness and safety, helping de-escalate difficult situations and providing guidance as a role model for the unit. You will take the lead in therapeutic options , the support of nursing staff and assist in the admissions process.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Direct and Indirect care of patients promoting mental and emotional well-being
Ensure Safety and Well-Being by participating in de-escalation efforts and providing therapeutic options support activities
Role Model by demonstrating effective problem-solving, decision-making and leadership
Job Type/Salary:
  • Open/Close dates: 6/10/2026 Until filled

  • Hourly rate: $17.09 + differentials
  • $.50 Evenings and Nights, $.75 Weekends/Holidays and $1.00 Direct Care
  • Primary Working Hours: 3:30 pm - 2:00 am

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
CRS: Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of an associate degree, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
SR CRS: Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience substituting four (4) years of relevant experience for the required education.
Preference may be given to current NCBH employees.
Special Requirements:
  • Applicants must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position and as such have a valid driver's license.
  • Upon a conditional offer of employment, ODMHSAS applicants must submit to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 50 pounds and able to push and pull a maximum force of 25 pounds.

About us: Northwest Center for Behavioral Health (NCBH) is located in Northwest Oklahoma! NCBH provides excellent treatment to all of Northwestern Oklahoma. We are licensed and Joint Commission accredited since 1974. We provide complete mental health and substance abuse services for the individuals of Northwest Oklahoma in our outpatient offices, transitional residential program and our inpatient psychiatric unit.
THIS AGENCY REQUIRES COVERAGE 24 HOURS, 7 DAYS PER WEEK. WORK HOURS AND LOCATION MAY VARY DEPENDING ON BUSINESS NECESSITY. EMPLOYEES MAY BE REQUIRED TO WORK WEEKENDS AND OVERTIME.
