Job description

We're actively seeking to hire for an unpaid internship in the compliance unit here at Central Michigan University Athletics!
Responsibilities:

  • Essential duties will be to prepare initial-eligibility assessments for incoming high school prospects, create rules education flyers for student-athletes, assist with coaches and staff compliance education initiatives, review phone call logs, contact and evaluation records and analyze data using ARMS and NCAA Compliance Assistant software.
  • Additional duties will include maintaining student-athlete files to ensure that all required NCAA and MAC documentation is up-to-date, assist with monitoring student-athlete employment and verify information with employers, assist with maintaining the student-athlete database, input all demographic and academic information, design and run reports as needed. Other duties as assigned.
  • Create a program designed to equip CMU student-athletes with the knowledge and tools necessary to maximize their brand and platform.
  • Work with the Mid-American Conference and CMU's compliance staff to create an overall plan to educate our student-athletes on all items related to future Name, Image, Likeness legislation. Areas of focus will be branding, business operations, NCAA education, camps and clinics, etc.
