Position Overview:
Responsible for development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company's Quality Assurance and Quality Control programs across fabrication and construction operations. Ensures compliance with contract requirements, company standards, and applicable codes (ASME, AWS, NBIC, and jurisdictional), while driving defect prevention and process standardization.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain corporate QA/QC Manual and procedures
  • Manage ASME BPVC and NBIC programs and certifications
  • Maintain WPS, PQRs, and welder continuity records
  • Coordinate third-party NDE, inspections, and testing
  • Ensure calibration of test equipment and weld machines
  • Manage non-conformance tracking and corrective actions
  • Perform project compliance reviews (specs, NDE, materials)
  • Conduct shop and jobsite audits and inspections
  • Inspect fabrication for materials, dimensions, and orientation
  • Drive process improvement and root cause analysis

Secondary Responsibilities:
  • Support project teams and participate in planning meetings
  • Assist estimating with quality requirements
  • Support QA/QC reporting systems and tools

Position Requirements
Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical construction and fabrication
  • Working knowledge of ASME, NBIC, and welding processes
  • Root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and organizational ability
  • Strong communication and leadership skills

Supervisory Responsibility:
  • Quality Control Inspectors (Field and Shop)

  • 10+ years mechanical construction or QA/QC experience
  • 5+ years in quality leadership role

Required Licensing and Other Certifications:
  • CWI preferred
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
