Overview
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training.
Responsibilities
  • Support Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) in Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) of Fly-By-Wire (FBW) Ship Control Systems (SCS) for U.S. Navy submarines.
  • Review engineering specifications, documents, drawings, and plans,
  • Review system, software, and hardware test procedures.
  • Witness Formal Qualification and System Acceptance Testing at land-based test facilities.
  • Validate requirements.
  • Perform Audits of computer software units.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an Engineering, Mathematics, Physical Sciences, or Computer Science field.
  • Have an active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
  • Proven experience working with US Navy submarine.

At least 0 - 2 years of experience in:
  • US Navy submarine Ship Control Systems.
  • Computer programming

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $85,000.00/Yr. - USD $95,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
