Marine Electrical Supervisor

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Electrical Supervisor to oversee electrical operations on marine vessels. This pivotal role involves managing electrical installation, maintenance, and repair activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications. The ideal candidate will bring extensive marine electrical experience, a strong safety mindset, and proven leadership abilities to support complex shipbuilding and repair projects.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate electrical installation, routing, termination, and repair of shipboard electrical systems, including lighting and power distribution.
  • Interpret and ensure adherence to electrical blueprints and technical specifications.
  • Lead and mentor electrical team members, fostering a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other departments to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
  • Maintain compliance with safety regulations and company policies throughout all operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues promptly to minimize project delays.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with industry standards and best practices.

Requirements

  • Nearly 8 years of marine electrical experience, with a proven track record supporting U.S. Navy vessel construction or similar military projects.
  • Progression from Cable Puller to 1st Class Marine Electrician or equivalent.
  • Expertise in installing, routing, terminating, and repairing shipboard electrical cables, lighting systems, and power distribution equipment.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools, welding, and tack welding.
  • Strong ability to interpret electrical blueprints and technical documentation.
  • Demonstrated safety consciousness and ability to work effectively in fast-paced shipyard environments.
  • Dependable with a strong safety mindset and team-oriented approach.
  • U.S. citizen preferred.
  • Immediate availability to start work.
