Lead Case Manager

Location: Columbus, OH (Defense Supply Center Columbus)
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:30 AM-4:30 PM EST

Position Summary

Crossroads Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced Lead Case Manager to support the Ohio Army National Guard (OHARNG) State Surgeon's Office by overseeing non-clinical medical case management operations. This position serves as the senior contractor lead responsible for supervising contractor personnel, managing Medical Evaluation Board (MEB) operations, ensuring contract compliance, and maintaining communication with Soldiers, Medical Readiness NCOs (MRNCOs), unit leadership, and State Surgeon personnel throughout the medical readiness process.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise contractor Case Managers and Case Coordinators.
  • Oversee the management of medical readiness cases from initial identification through final resolution.
  • Manage complex Medical Evaluation Board (MEB) cases.
  • Ensure compliance with Army Regulations, DoD Instructions, HIPAA requirements, and contract requirements.
  • Review case management metrics and quality assurance reports.
  • Coordinate with profiling officers during bi-monthly case reviews.
  • Monitor contractor performance and implement quality control measures.
  • Ensure timely processing of medical documentation using:
    • eCase
    • MEDPROS
    • MEDCHART
    • MODS
    • HRR
  • Oversee Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP) support activities.
  • Provide status updates to Battalion, Brigade, and State Surgeon personnel.
  • Ensure all documentation is complete before submission to MEB Coordinators.
  • Assist in continuous process improvement and contractor performance initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current Ohio Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Direct Service Social Worker, or
  • Bachelor's degree in a health-related field
  • Minimum three (3) years of professional case management experience
  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Experience managing Medical Evaluation Board (MEB) cases
  • Strong Microsoft Office 365 proficiency
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC)
  • Ability to successfully complete required Army and DoD training
