Position Overview

Crossroads is seeking full-time Personnel Assistant-I to provide military HR support services within the Military Personnel Division at Fort Knox, KY.

Primary Duties:

Performs as HR specialist within military HR work centers that may include Personnel Records, Automation Support, In & Out Processing, DEERS/Identification Card Management, Soldier Readiness Processing, Soldier Actions, Reassignment Processing, Transition and Retirement Services.

Publicly address large groups of Soldiers.

Protect privacy, administer training, and ensure policy and procedure compliance.

Interact via phone, email and in person with customers from the military, their family and other entitled persons of Department of Defense (DoD) association, including contractors and their affiliates.

Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

Ability to work effectively with others and acts professionally in an office environment.

Ability to interact with and utilize database and associated record keeping systems.

Ability to operate in a Windows environment with experience in Microsoft Word and Excel and Internet Explorer.

Ability to communicate both orally and in writing with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and varying levels of understanding.

Ability to demonstrate strong customer service skills both in person and by telephone, and to work effectively as a team member.

Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work in a high volume fast paced environment.

Ability to interpret applicable military regulations, policies, and directives.

Education:

High School Diploma/GED required.

Associate's degree preferred.

Background Investigation:

Tier 1 or equivalent.
