This is where YOU fit in: As the Supervisory Sales Associate, you will provide oversight and support to the associates who work for NEXCOM at the Naval Base Kitsap Bangor Uniform Shop...no two days will look the same.
The ideal candidate will provide great customer services and assistance to associates, and make a positive daily impact to the mission of serving the best customer - our activity duty and retired military, dependents and civilian patrons.

So, what might a "typical" day look like?
o Provide excellent customer service by directly supporting and assisting customers in our locations.
o You will be a team leader to the associates ensuring the work environment is positive and productive.
o Responsibility for the security of cash, fixed assets, and merchandise inventory.
o Provide direction on assignments, including prioritizing projects and tasks.
o Responsible for providing coaching and timely feedback to associate.
o May open and close locations.
The Qualifiers:
o Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to perform job duties, including product knowledge, moderate level of merchandise, and providing training/documentation to sales associates.
o One year of lead or supervisory experience is required.
o Must pass a criminal background check.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: One year responsible experience in clerical office or retail sales store work of any kind in which the applicant has demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily in the position to be filled.
AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year progressively responsible experience in retail sales performing the kind of duties which constitute the principal work of the position to be filled.
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Study completed in a college university or junior college above the high school level may be substituted on the basis of one-half academic year of study for 6 months of experience. At any level specialized experience may be substituted for required general experience. Candidates must have demonstrated in their work experience or training that they possess or have potential to develop the qualities of successful supervision.
