Job description

Material Handling Laborer

Makwa Global is seeking reliable Material Handling Laborers to support the physical movement and delivery of materials across the NUWCDIVNPT installation. This is a highly active role that involves heavy lifting, loading trucks, and driving delivery routes across the naval base to ensure end-users receive their equipment safely and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload materials from commercial freight trucks and internal delivery vehicles.
  • Drive up to a 20-foot commercial box truck (with power tailgate) to execute daily delivery manifests across various buildings on the naval installation.
  • Obtain wet/digital signatures from customers upon delivery and update the daily delivery manifest.
  • Perform heavy physical labor, breaking down pallets, moving bulk items, and staging materials at the loading docks.
  • Assist warehouse staff with general physical tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Valid State Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Experience driving commercial delivery vehicles (e.g., box trucks, flatbeds) is highly desired. (No CDL required, but a plus).
  • Ability to perform strenuous physical labor, including frequently lifting up to 50 lbs and moving heavy materials manually or with hand trucks.
  • U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain a DoD CAC/Security Clearance.
