Job description

PRIMARY PURPOSE
AHF Products has an exciting opportunity for a VP, National Strategic Accounts. This leadership position is responsible for developing and executing strategies that drive profitable growth within the company's National Strategic Accounts channel, which includes accounts such as The Home Depot, Lowe's, Floor & Décor, Menard's, etc. The VP, National Strategic Accounts will own the P&L for the channel and lead customer engagement, account management, contract negotiations, strategic planning, and business development initiatives across key national retail account relationships.
Working closely with executive leadership, product management, marketing, customer service, operations, and finance, this role will ensure outstanding customer experiences while achieving revenue, profit, and market share objectives. The VP serves as the primary leader responsible for managing and expanding AHF Products' most significant customer partnerships.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:
  • Develop and execute the strategic plan for the National Accounts business segment.
  • Lead all aspects of customer relationship management for key national account customers.
  • Establish annual revenue, profitability, growth, and market share objectives.
  • Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with customers and strategic partners.
  • Negotiate pricing agreements, contracts, product programs, and long-term business arrangements.
  • Identify opportunities to expand product placement, market penetration, and overall customer share.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Marketing to develop customer-specific growth strategies and promotional programs.
  • Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Manufacturing to ensure successful execution of customer commitments.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to identify strategic opportunities.
  • Lead forecasting, sales planning, pipeline management, and customer business reviews.
  • Develop and mentor account managers and sales professionals supporting the National Strategic Accounts business.
  • Ensure customer profitability through disciplined pricing, mix management, and contract administration.
  • Provide regular business updates and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Support new customer acquisition efforts and strategic business development initiatives.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, customer focus, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

TRAVEL
  • Travel regularly to customer locations, trade events, industry conferences, field meetings, and company facilities.
  • Estimated travel requirement: 60%.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Strong understanding of national account sales strategies and complex customer management.
  • Proven ability to negotiate large-scale contracts and strategic business agreements.
  • Demonstrated success growing revenue and market share within a large customer portfolio.
  • Strong financial acumen, including pricing strategy, profitability analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Management, or related field required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive sales leadership or national account management experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years leading large customer portfolios or strategic account teams.
  • Experience within flooring, building products, manufacturing, distribution, home improvement, or related industries strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of delivering sustainable revenue growth and profitability.
