We're seeking a strategic and relationship-driven National Sales Director to lead growth within our Fully Underwritten Life Insurance distribution channel. In this role, you'll build and strengthen partnerships with key brokerage organizations, drive sales strategy, and collaborate across the enterprise to deliver profitable growth and exceptional partner experiences.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Lead the development and execution of national sales and distribution strategies that drive growth across brokerage channels. Identify opportunities, address challenges, and implement action plans to achieve business objectives. 
  • Build, strengthen, and manage strategic relationships with BGAs, IMOs, NMOs, and other distribution partners. Serve as a trusted advisor while negotiating and implementing marketing, compensation, and business development initiatives. 
  • Partner across Product, Actuarial, Operations, Customer Service, Technology, and Legal teams to ensure commitments are delivered, and distribution needs are effectively supported. 
  • Manage key accounts and specialty distribution relationships, including direct wholesaling responsibilities when needed. Establish objectives and business plans that align with both client and company goals. 
  • Lead sales training, product education, and business development activities that enhance partner engagement, increase product knowledge, and drive production results. 
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and industry developments. Translate insights into strategic recommendations and drive change to maintain a competitive position in the marketplace. 
  • Develop and lead a high-performing, accountable, and inclusive team while effectively managing travel, relationship-management activities, and business development budgets.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • 5+ years of proven success driving sales growth within the life insurance, annuity, or financial services industry, with experience developing and executing strategic sales plans that deliver measurable results. 
  • Strong understanding of brokerage distribution and established relationships within BGAs, IMOs, NMOs, or similar channels. Ability to influence, negotiate, and build credibility with executive-level partners. 
  • Demonstrated expertise in sales leadership, business development, and insurance operations, with the ability to identify opportunities and turn market insights into action. 
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, relationship-building, and collaboration skills, with a track record of successfully working across multiple business functions. 
  • Passion for developing others through coaching, mentoring, and sales training while fostering accountability and engagement within a team environment.
  • You promote a collaborative culture, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.
  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.
  • Able to travel extensively (up to 75% annually).

PREFERRED:

  • 10+ years in a sales role within the Brokerage/IMO environment.
  • Life and Health license.
  • Competent in Salesforce and Salesforce related reporting.
