Job description

LHH is seeking a Sales Training Manager for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a manufacturing client located in Indianapolis, IN. This is a newly created role where you will lead and enhance a high-impact training function that supports a national sales organization while also driving onboarding excellence, professional development, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will partner with leaders across the organization, manage training programs, lead enterprise-wide learning initiatives, and help shape the future of sales enablement through innovative learning strategies and emerging technologies. The compensation is commensurate to experience and will range between $120,000-130,000 per year plus bonus and includes comprehensive benefit and insurance plans, generous Paid Time Off, and a 401K plan with a company match. ***Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.*** JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead sales onboarding and professional development programs across multiple employee groups.
  • Design, document, and continuously improve end?to?end sales processes.
  • Manage and develop a team of trainers.
  • Facilitate instructor-led classroom training programs.
  • Deliver virtual onboarding and ongoing development sessions.
  • Evaluate trainee submissions and provide coaching feedback.
  • Conduct field observations and ride-alongs with sales employees.
  • Identify training gaps and implement targeted development solutions.
  • Develop and maintain training curriculum and learning materials.
  • Support training initiatives related to new product introductions.
  • Track and measure training effectiveness and participant progress.
  • Manage departmental budgets, forecasting, and spending activities.
  • Leverage technology and AI tools to enhance training effectiveness.
  • Coordinate training logistics, scheduling, and program execution.
  • Travel nationally to support field development initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing, Education, Learning & Development, or related discipline is required
  • Minimum of 5+ years of sales training, sales enablement, and/or learning and development experience is required (regional or national sales training experience is preferred)
  • Must have experience developing, improving, and managing sales training programs and curriculum
  • Must have the ability to lead, coach, and develop sales employees regarding product knowledge and usage, effective closing techniques, etc.
  • Ideal candidates will have experience supporting enterprise-level sales organizations
  • Ideal candidates will have experience supporting product launches and field implementation efforts
