Job description

Steps Therapy specializes in providing comprehensive programs to enhance a child’s independence. By combining highly-trained behavior therapists, transparent data collection, and developmentally appropriate programming, we will create a program our clients can trust— with results that are evident. We provide client services primarily in San Francisco, Daly City, South San Francisco, San Bruno, Millbrae, San Mateo, Foster City, and Redwood City.

We are always seeking qualified Program Directors who are dedicated to helping others and making a difference in a child's life. This position is non-exempt (hourly), with the pay range falling between $35,000 - $50,000 annually ($27.00 - $35.00 per hour), dependent on experience, education level, and individual caseload size and selection.

This position is not remote/virtual and requires client services to be provided in person. Although, driving your own car is not necessary. Public transportation is welcome. Both transportation by car or public transportation will be reimbursed.**

As a Program Director, you are responsible for designing and implementing behavior intervention programs to young children with special needs and providing families with training to reinforce learned skills. In addition, you are responsible for providing support, training, and feedback to Behavior Technicians.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide weekly and bi-weekly oversight to individual programs to ensure programs and sound, and children are making progress towards goals.
  • Work closely with, and collaborate with Board Certified Behavior Analyst
  • Monitor data paths to ensure treatment integrity and continued child progress
  • Assist in data analysis
  • Ensure staff development and training in implementation of program
  • Participate in parent training and monthly team meetings
  • Participate in progress reporting

Physical Demands

  • Ability to regularly stand, sit, squat, bend, twist, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

  • Enrollment in Master's program and a desire to pursue a career in Applied Behavior Analysis
  • Enrollment in a BACB approved course sequence preferred
  • Experience implementing programs and working in the field of ABA for a minimum of 1 year
  • Experience developing goals, and writing behavior analytic programs
  • Commitment to developing and leading teams of Behavior Technicians
  • Experience with parent training/coaching, report writing, conducting meetings, and analyzing data.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication
  • Ability to keep organized with meticulous attention to detail
  • Employment conditional upon satisfactory background check
