Position Summary: Increasing revenue at the AAA Hoosier Motor Club Service Center through the proactive sale and promotion of AAA products and services to members and clients. This role requires a deep knowledge of travel planning, AAA membership benefits, and a variety of AAA offerings, while consistently meeting AAA's high National Quality Standards. The Advisor is expected to drive sales through both in-person and outbound communications, maintain accurate inventory and POS processes, and continuously enhance their skills to support both members and colleagues. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert travel planning services, including TripTik routes, marked maps, TourBook Guides, land tours, hotel packages, and lodging/car reservations.
  • Assist members with passport photos, International Driving Permits, and other travel documentation.
  • Promote and book air, land tours, hotel packages, lodging, and car rentals, with advanced knowledge of Preferred Vendors for land/air packages.
  • Council members on travel options, including introductory cruise destinations to Mexico and the Caribbean.
  • Actively promote and sell AAA Travel Store products, Tickets, Travel Money products, and AAA Credit Cards.
  • Promote, sell, and process AAA memberships, Auto Renewals, and effectively explain membership benefits at all levels.
  • Make outbound calls to members to increase awareness of AAA products and services, aiming to improve membership renewals and customer retention.
  • Cross-sell and refer members to AAA Insurance and other AAA services, ensuring members are fully informed about all offers.
  • Assist members in navigating AAA.com, AAA Mobile Apps, AAA Social Media sites, and the AAA Discounts & Rewards Program.
  • Accurately perform at POS, ensuring the proper handling of transactions.
  • Assist with monthly inventory management of Maps, Travel Store products, Travel Money products, and Attraction Tickets, including ordering and maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls as outlined in the Payment Acceptance Policy, Anti-Money Laundering program, and PCI Compliance standards.
  • Continue professional development through training opportunities to enhance travel and sales expertise.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals/quotas set by management to contribute to overall revenue growth.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management, including commuting to other Service Centers or off-site locations when necessary.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Education and/or Experience Requirements: Education: High School diploma or general education degree (GED), required. Experience: Travel Industry experience, Retail Sales-Cashiering and/or Tourism-Hospitality experience preferred.
