For over ten years National Geographic Learning, a part of Cengage, has been publishing innovative programs for teachers and learners of English through its partnership with National Geographic. We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced sales professional to help drive our growing business in the US K12 sector.
The Multilingual Learner Content Specialist will be a part of a small team responsible for growing National Geographic Learning's market share in the growing US K12 market. This specific role while having responsibilities throughout the sales cycle, will be focused most specifically on the onboarding and post-sale support to ensure our customers are successful and renew their adoptions.
What you'll do here:
  • Collaborate with the Content Specialist team to develop and implement strategies for increasing National Geographic Learning ELT market share in K12 schools around the country.
  • Ensure customer success with our material by creating and delivering training materials and partnering closely with the Secondary Customer Success team so they are effective and up to date on our products and platforms.
  • Participate in and / or lead customer meetings alongside the assigned Secondary educational sales consultant to identify needs, help close new business and retain existing business.
  • Deliver impactful presentations to districts to win adoptions.
  • Partner with product teams to ensure product plans and US marketing plans will succeed in the US market.
  • Find opportunities to involve other team members either within the ELT organization or within the K12 team as appropriate

Skills you will need here:
  • Minimum of three-to-five years of relevant experience, preferably in publishing or educational fields
  • Exceptional presentation skills
  • Proven major account sales ability with a strong record of achieving significant sales growth
  • Evidence of strong customer orientation and ability to form and build effective customer relationships
  • Proven track record of working alone and in teams
  • Display initiative and flexibility with attention to detail
  • Excellent written communication, presentation, and social skills
  • Knowledge of commonly used desktop tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook
  • Ability to travel 50-60%

Preferred
  • Experience in ESL/ELT
  • Experience in US K12

The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location. Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.
