We're looking to hire a talented National Account Manager.
Reporting to the Sales Director, Retail and eCommerce, the National Account Manager is responsible for sales activities supporting the company business plan in the assigned multi-state region, increasing market share, revenue, and profitability of ESAB standard products and filler metals through effective leadership of the sales force in the assigned region. Drive the strategic goals for new business development and end user relationships while growing our market share in the US Industrial channel. Participate in new product development, forecasting and other businesses processes as assigned to meet company vitality index, on time delivery and related company metrics. Key focus is with strategic target customers including but not limited to Grainger, Fastenal and MSC.
Primary Duties
  • Formulate and execute strategic sales plans to maximize revenues, market share, and profitability across target national accounts and geographic districts.

  • Deliver exceptional support on customer-specific processes, including new product inductions, category development, price management, and promotional planning.

  • Build and maintain long-term, high-level relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, customers, and sales representatives within key customers and internal ESAB teams supporting these accounts.

  • Lead and participate in strategic customer product line reviews, distributor trade shows, and end-user product demonstrations.

  • Analyze industry trends, competitor activity, and product pricing to identify target accounts and adapt strategies accordingly.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and partner with external channels and internal departments (Finance, Operations, Marketing, IT) to optimize the customer experience.

  • Review and analyze weekly/monthly sales results against projections, monitoring customer scorecards, returns & allowances (R&A), and inventory forecasts.

  • Manage industrial and commercial sales/marketing budgets and provide accurate sales forecasting to leadership.

  • Utilize internal CRM systems (e.g., MS Dynamics) to manage the opportunity funnel, compile interaction data, and ensure strict compliance with customer-driven processes (pricing, new product inductions).

  • Support e-commerce and marketing functions to develop target promotional programs and successful partner channel support.

  • Conduct sales meetings and product training sessions for stakeholders as required.

  • Undertake required overnight travel for in-person customer meetings and regional events.

  • Fulfill other duties as assigned to support overall business initiatives.

Qualifications
  • 5-7 years professional sales management.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred and experience in a similar sales position.

  • Industrial product knowledge: industrial sales experience, with welding or related sales experience preferred.

  • Proven experience in exceeding sales quotas and expectations.

  • Outstanding communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and remotely.

  • Keen attention to detail.

  • Excellent relationship building skills.

  • Strong networking and referral building ability.

Working Conditions
  • Remains in a stationary position 50% of the time and involves additional physical demands such as ascending/descending stairs, walking stooping and standing.

  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment 'PPE' when working/visiting manufacturing and plant locations.

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery including but not limited to printer, tablets, cell phones.

  • Moves transports, puts, or removes equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.; pushes, pulls products weighing up to 200 lbs. using provided safety tools.

  • May be exposed to varying weather during travel.

  • Domestic travel required approximately 40%

Pay Range:
$107,708.00-$125,603.00
