Job description
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide technical engineering support and perform steps via work authorizing documents
- Perform work pertaining to laptops, printers, audio visual equipment, electrical, electronic, or mechanical components or equipment
- Perform cable and electronic component fabrication utilizing NASA recognized workmanship standards (soldering, harness and cable, staking/conformal coating, etc.)
- Support multiple projects, prioritize, and accomplish tasks in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Responsible for leading some operations within an area that has significant impact on results for the organization
- Responsible for assisting and training lower-level support employees
- General Lab cleanup and maintenance
- Employees are expected to routinely lift up to 35lbs without the assistance of mechanical aides.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent, and 3 year's related experience
- Strong understanding of how to read and implement requirements from engineering drawings and work orders
- Familiarity with the engineering drawings process
- Familiarity with tool calibration
Preferred Qualifications:
- Perform cable and electronic component fabrication utilizing NASA recognized workmanship standards (NASA 8739.1, NASA 8739.4, IPC-J-STD-001, IPC/WHMA-A-620)
- PWB population using various soldering techniques (through hole and surface mount)
- Electronics troubleshooting
- Working understanding of Maximo Inventory Management System or similar task order system
Must be able to obtain a Public Trust background investigation. U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status is required.
