Part-Time Preschool Teacher (Afternoon Support)

A Good Start Preschool โ€“ Columbia, MO

For over 25 years, A Good Start Preschool has provided exceptional early childhood education rooted in faith, family, and whole-child development. We are looking for a part-time teacher to support our classrooms during the afternoon hours.

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who loves children and is looking for a consistent, meaningful part-time role in a warm and supportive environment.


About the Role

This position focuses on afternoon classroom support, helping guide children through rest time, afternoon activities, and end-of-day routines.

Youโ€™ll work alongside our teaching team to ensure children feel safe, cared for, and engaged as they transition through the second half of their day.


What Weโ€™re Looking For

A great candidate is someone who:

Requirements
  • No prior teaching experience required

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers during afternoon routines and transitions
  • Help supervise rest/nap time and maintain a calm environment
  • Support children during playtime and classroom activities
  • Assist with snack time and cleanup
  • Help with end-of-day routines and classroom organization
  • Ensure childrenโ€™s safety at all times

Schedule
  • Part-time, Monday through Friday
