School-Based Position | Entry-Level | Full Training Provided

The Behavior Helper Academy is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional for a school-based position in Saint Charles. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates interested in education, psychology, and behavioral health. We provide full training and ongoing support to ensure your success in the classroom. You will work within a collaborative team to empower students with developmental disabilities and help them reach their full potential.

About the Role

We are hiring passionate individuals to become Special Education Paraprofessionals in a school setting. In this role, you will:

  • Work 1:1 or in small groups with students
  • Use ABA strategies (training provided) to build communication, academic, social, and life skills
  • Help reduce challenging behaviors and support positive growth
  • Implement behavior plans under the supervision of a BCBA and teachers
  • Collect data and support IEP goals

We provide Training & Support:

  • Full ABA foundations training
  • CPI (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention) certification
  • Ongoing BCBA supervision
  • Professional development designed specifically for your success

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • No ABA experience required — we train you!

Physical & Work Environment

This is an active, hands-on role. You may:

  • Lift up to 50 lbs
  • Kneel, squat, sit, or stand for extended periods
  • Assist with toileting (PPE provided)
  • Respond to student escalations using trained CPI techniques
  • Working with students that may display aggressive behaviors

You will receive proper training to feel safe and confident in all situations.
