Position Summary

The Solar Operations & Maintenance Coordinator is primarily responsible for the coordination of service calls, including generating proposals and work orders, monitoring service call timelines, scheduling labor and materials, and tracking margins. This role has direct client interactions and is a vital part of assuring customer satisfaction and profitable business growth.


What Youll Do


  • Manage Work Orders
    • Monitor PV site equipment remotely for performance and alerts, creatingproposals for identified issues.
    • Intake of client requests for service; create/manage client records.
    • Develop proposals.
    • Manage Work Orders, Clients, and Sites in proprietary software application.
    • Generate invoice requests for Work Orders evaluating all labor, material, tooling, travel costs.
    • Develop/Improve client relationships to grow book/scope of work.
  • Schedule Labor and Material
    • Oversee on-going work order timeline.
    • Schedule labor and material in coordination with client and other Project Coordinators and O&M Manager.
    • Request material and labor quotes, issues POs for approved work, manage timeline for completion/closeout.
    • Close out Work Orders.
    • Follow up on delayed/stalled material and projects through completion.
  • Budgetary Analysis & Planning
    • Collaborate with O&M team on forecasting field employee headcount andequipment needs.
    • Contribute to analysis of billing rates, margins, and costs.

What Youll Need for Success

  • HS diploma required; Bachelor's in Environmental Sciences or related field preferred.
  • 1+ years in the solar/energy industry.
  • Project coordination experience required.
  • Experience with invoicing, billing, or financial tracking preferred.
  • Familiarity with solar repair terminology and standard scopes of work.
  • Strong multi-tasking, data organization, and MS Office skills (Intermediate Excel).
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings is desired.
  • Desired: OSHA 10, NABCEP, PV101 intro courses.
