POSITION OVERVIEW

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE 
The Outside Salesperson will work with clients to provide a successful customer experience. The Outside Salesperson will generate sales of all products. Will work with existing customers and secure prospective new customers and clients by phone, e-mail and direct office appointments providing detailed information on product specifications, services, pricing and delivery and install scheduling. Will focus on builders, designers, remodelers, as well as retail customers. Will also represent Construction Resources at NKBA, NARI, and various HBA events.


Outside Sales Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent sales support and customer experience to all accounts
  • Conduct sales presentation of products and services to customers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with all accounts
  • Employee acknowledges that if the account desires another local sales representative or
  • a change in sales representatives, Construction Resources has the obligation to meet the clients' request
  • Visit jobsites as needed to provide the required sales support
  • Communicate lead times and work with scheduling changes
  • Assist customers via email
  • Attend training functions as required
  • Participate in sales meetings as required
  • Collect deposits and balances before delivery
  • Follow up phone calls to secure orders
  • Participate in after hour events and sponsorships as required
  • Resolve customer issues
  • Generate and develop new customer business accounts to increase revenue at a profitable level
  • Follow up to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Assist in collections as necessary

Outside Customer Service Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Work with national account manager to address field issues to provide final solutions
  • Help communicate job readiness
  • Provide excellent sales support and customer experience to all accounts
  • Develop and maintain relationships with all accounts
  • Visit jobsites as needed to provide the required sales support
  • Communicate lead times and work with scheduling changes
  • Assist customers via email
  • Follow up phone calls to secure orders
  • Resolve customer issues
  • Follow up to ensure customer satisfaction

Retail Sales Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Work retail leads as provided, especially on fireplaces and surrounds
  • Provide excellent sales support and customer experience
  • Conduct sales presentation of products and services to customers
  • Visit jobsites as needed to provide the required sales support
  • Communicate lead times and work with scheduling changes
  • Assist customers via email
  • Collect deposits and balances before delivery
  • Follow up phone calls to secure orders
  • Resolve customer issues
  • Follow up to ensure customer satisfaction

Competencies/Skills/Abilities

  • 3 - 5 years' experience/hands-on knowledge within construction industry product sales 
    Self-motivated, driven to close sales
    Ability to communicate at all levels, both inside and outside of the Company
  • Computer literate; working knowledge of MS Office 
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and good driving record
