Job Description
As a Database Administrator, you will be a key player in providing L2/L3 support for Customer's production and development environment. The typical responsibility include-
Database performance tuning which includes Instance tuning and DB tuning
DB Parameter tuning (Semaphores, Shared Memory etc.)
On call support for production issues
Backup operations & validation
Daily maintenance and monitoring activities
Contribution towards migration / upgrade of database if needed.
Contribution to build Hierarchical replication and synchronization of instances
Involvement in on-going projects
Basic trouble shooting and configuration
Managing and Leading the Database track from Onsite
Desired Skills & Experience
Required
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required
• Excellent communication skills
• Relevant experience in MySQL Database administration in the areas of responsibilities mentioned above, especially in L2& L3 support activities.
• Total experience of around 6 to 8 years
• Knowledge of other database like MS-SQL, Oracle.
• Certifications in Database technologies.
• Participation in upgrade and migration activity.
• Analytical and Communication skills
• Planning and Co-ordination skills between Client and Offshore team
• Exposure in leading a team of individuals in an Onsite-Offshore model
