Position Summary

The Front Desk Coordinator will provide front desk and administrative support in a busy healthcare clinic environment. This position is responsible for patient registration, appointment scheduling, check-in/check-out, insurance verification, patient communication, and general clinic coordination. The ideal candidate will have healthcare front desk experience, strong customer service skills, and hands-on Epic EMR experience.


Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1 year of healthcare front desk experience
  • Experience with patient scheduling and registration
  • Experience checking patients in and out
  • Healthcare customer service and administrative experience
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to occasionally support the St. Paul clinic location
  • Strong attendance and reliability


Preferred Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients in person and by telephone
  • Complete patient registration, check-in, and check-out
  • Schedule and reschedule patient appointments
  • Verify insurance and collect demographic and financial information
  • Obtain required documentation, signatures, co-pays, and outstanding balances
  • Assist patients with financial assistance questions
  • Manage telephone encounters and patient communication
  • Perform Epic EMR and In-Basket activities
  • Review MyChart appointments and follow up on scheduling needs
  • Process reschedule reports and No Show letters
  • Support prescription refill processes as appropriate
  • Scan, sort, distribute, and maintain medical records and clinic documentation
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail and faxes using RightFax
  • Coordinate Release of Information requests
  • Perform End of Day reconciliation activities
  • Maintain clean, organized, and welcoming patient-facing areas
  • Restock clinic supplies, brochures, and patient resources
  • Answer, transfer, and manage incoming calls
  • Complete weekly downtime checks
  • Participate in staff meetings and support overall clinic operations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
