As an engineer on our team, you'll thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment, collaborating closely with a passionate team to achieve a shared mission. We embrace continuous iteration and improvement, so you'll have the opportunity to learn, grow, and refine your skills as we build the future of Find My.We are looking for an innovative build engineer who is dedicated to build systems, continuous integration and shipping high quality releases. On our team, you will play a key role in supporting complex build trains and CI systems. You will also work closely with members of the Find My client and server development team to build features and maintain our CI system and related services. Our team ships very high profile features which are used by millions of customers daily. We take pride in the quality of work we do, and we deliver these highly valued features in a lively and collaborative environment. The role requires a deep insight into the software development lifecycle for production services and also gives you lots of freedom with the responsibility to complete your goals. Engineers here will thrive in a constantly evolving and fast-paced environment, operating at the tactical level, while solving difficult problems.

Responsibilities
  • Designing and implementing a build system and infrastructure that delivers high quality software at a rapid pace
  • Enhancing/restructuring builds to increase the velocity of the build process and improve code sharing capabilities
  • Communicating with a wide variety of teams to assemble requirements and build collaboration
  • Eliminating road blocks and enhance flow from development to production
  • Providing support to development teams, senior management and QA teams
Minimum Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience with Continuous Integration systems (e.g. Jenkins) and Build and Release processes
  • Ability to be in office Monday through Thursday
  • Proven experience and use of GIT
  • Excellent knowledge of Unix/macOS scripting (bash, Python)
  • iOS application development knowledge, App Store submission familiarity
  • Excellent analytical, debugging and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills will help you be more successful in our group dynamic
  • BS in Computer Science
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with build systems such as Bazel, Buck, or Xcode build system, beyond standard CI tools like Jenkins
  • Familiarity with distributed/large-scale build infrastructure and build optimization techniques (caching, incremental builds, parallelization)
  • Experience supporting server-side/backend build and release pipelines, not just client/iOS
  • Familiarity with App Store Connect, TestFlight, and code signing/provisioning workflows
  • Experience working cross-functionally with development, QA, and release management teams to streamline the SDLC

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $150,400 and $277,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
