JANSON is seeking a retired military leader to serve as Executive Director, Defense Growth & Strategic Partnerships. This executive will lead the Company's strategic growth efforts across the Department of War (DoW) by identifying opportunities, building trusted relationships, and expanding JANSON's presence with military commands, installations, and defense agencies.
Leveraging a deep understanding of the DoW acquisition process and military operations, the Executive Director will connect JANSON's expertise in industrial design, interior design, general construction, digital innovation, logistics, FF&E, site management, and sustainment with customers seeking to modernize mission environments, command facilities, workspaces, dining facilities, MWR, and community support facilities.
This position requires a senior, market-facing leader who can operate credibly with military, government, and industry stakeholders while also working internally with operations, contracts, finance, proposal, project delivery, and executive leadership to convert strategy into qualified pipeline, capture plans, proposals, teaming arrangements, and awarded work.
Requirements:- Develop and execute JANSON's defense growth strategy for expanding business opportunities across the Department of War.
- Build and maintain relationships with senior military leaders, contracting officers, program managers, installation leadership, and acquisition professionals.
- Identify, qualify, and advance new business opportunities across military commands, installations, defense agencies, government contracting vehicles, and partner-led pursuits that are aligned with JANSON's capabilities.
- Guide internal teams on DoW acquisition strategies, customer priorities, and procurement processes.
- Collaborate with JANSON's business units to develop integrated solutions that improve mission readiness and the military workplace experience.
- Represent JANSON at military conferences, industry events, and customer engagements.
- Build and maintain a disciplined opportunity pipeline, including stage tracking, partnership engagement and mapping, capture priorities and engagement plans of qualified opportunities that support JANSON’s strategic growth objectives.
· Work with JANSON leadership to establish sales targets, pipeline coverage expectations, bid/no-bid recommendations, and measurable growth objectives for the modernization markets.
Qualifications
- Senior military, senior Department of Defense civilian, or defense industry executive experience with direct exposure to military facilities, installation operations, mission support, modernization, logistics, engineering, construction, or related defense services.
- Demonstrated success developing strategic relationships across the Department of War.
- Demonstrated success developing and converting business opportunities in the federal, defense, or military installation market.
- Experience supporting capture strategy, proposal development, customer shaping, partner strategy, and pursuit governance for government opportunities.
- Strong understanding of military organizational structures, funding, and procurement.
- Outstanding communication, leadership, and business development skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively in support of customer engagement and business development.
