Job Title: Motor Vehicle Clerk
Pay Type: Hourly
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
Locations: Must be available to work at any Albuquerque and Rio Rancho locations
Schedule Requirement: Monday - Friday 8:45 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. and Saturday availability between 7:45 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Job Summary

MVD Express is seeking a detail oriented and customer focused team member to join our office as a Motor Vehicle Clerk. This role is responsible for processing a variety of motor vehicle transactions while providing accurate, timely, and professional service to customers.

This position includes both standard clerk duties and more detailed title processing work. You will work directly with customers and internal teams.

This role may requires working at different MVD Express locations based on business needs.

What You Will DoProcess Motor Vehicle Transactions

• Complete title and registration transactions accurately and efficiently
• Process vehicle transfers, renewals, duplicate titles, and registrations
• Handle more detailed transactions such as liens, VIN inspections, and out of state titles
• Review and verify documents for accuracy and completeness
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and company procedures

Provide Customer Service

• Assist customers in person, over the phone, and through email
• Clearly explain processes, requirements, and fees
• Resolve issues and answer questions in a professional manner
• Maintain a positive and helpful customer experience

Perform Road Testing and TSA Duties

• Conduct road tests in accordance with state guidelines
• Evaluate driving performance and complete required documentation
• Maintain TSA certification and follow all TSA procedures and requirements
• Ensure compliance with all security protocols related to testing and identification

Maintain Accuracy and Compliance

• Follow all policies related to confidentiality and data security
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Stay up to date on changing state regulations and procedures


What We Are Looking For

• Previous experience in motor vehicle, title processing, or similar administrative work preferred, but not required
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to learn and apply state regulations
• Strong data entry and computer skills
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Valid Driver’s License required
• Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check
• Ability to successfully pass a motor vehicle record review


Physical Requirements

• Ability to operate standard office equipment including computer, phone, and printer
• Ability to sit and stand for extended periods
• Ability to review detailed documents for accuracy
