This is a hands-on leadership role within a complex, high-volume operation with multiple studios, teams, vendors, sessions, events, and guest needs moving simultaneously.
What you'll do:
Building & Facility Operations
  • Own day-to-day operations for the full facility, including studios, events space, conference rooms, media room, lounges, and support areas.
  • Oversee building systems, maintenance, technical infrastructure, safety, security, access, and compliance.
  • Manage building and service vendors, ensuring quality, responsiveness, and value.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of presentation and readiness and resolve issues before they impact sessions or guests.

Team Leadership & Studio Operations
  • Lead, develop, and support the Miami studio team, including engineers, assistants, runners, and client services staff.
  • Own recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, coaching, performance management, and development.
  • Staff four concurrent studios and events appropriately while maintaining standards for room readiness, workflow, communication, and guest experience.
  • Foster a culture of hospitality, discretion, accountability, and technical excellence.

Budget & Financial Management
  • Own the studio operating budget, including vendors, utilities, catering, procurement, repairs, equipment, and supplies.
  • Manage purchasing, vendor relationships, invoices, reconciliations, and financial approvals.
  • Forecast facility and equipment needs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and control costs.

Sessions, Events & On-Site Execution
  • Ensure the facility is prepared and appropriately staffed for sessions, meetings, events, and guest activity.
  • Oversee operational execution of approved events and activations, including staffing, security, catering, setup, technical needs, and guest flow.

Artist, Label & Client Experience
  • Serve as the primary on-site operational leader for artists, producers, labels, managers, executives, and VIP clients.
  • Ensure studios are properly prepared and supported, anticipating needs and resolving issues quickly, discreetly, and with sound judgment.
  • Maintain the highest standards of hospitality, confidentiality, and professionalism while building trusted relationships with key stakeholders.

Regional & Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Work closely with the Regional Director and corporate partners on operational priorities, standards, initiatives, and improvements.
  • Support broader 5020 and Sony Music initiatives within the Miami facility and provide local operational insight as needed.

Who you are:
  • Experience within a commercial recording studio, production facility, hospitality environment, or similarly complex operation.
  • Experience working with budgets, purchasing, vendors, and cost controls.
  • Strong understanding of professional studio operations and the expectations of artists, producers, and label partners.
  • Experience supporting events, activations, or special programs.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a 24/7 environment.
  • Exceptional discretion and professionalism with high-profile artists, executives, and confidential projects

What we give you:
  • You join an inclusive, collaborative and global community where you have the opportunity to channel your passion every day

  • Investment in your professional growth and development enabling you to thrive in our vibrant community.
  • The space to accelerate progress, positively disrupt, and create what happens next
  • Time off for a winter recess
