Job Summary
Design Studio Manager
Emser Design & Inspiration Gallery
Emser Tile is seeking an experienced Design Studio Manager for our new Design & Inspiration Gallery located in Miami's Ironside design district. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day studio experience while serving as a key showroom, design, and sales-support resource for the Miami market.
The Design Studio Manager will lead the overall presentation, organization, merchandising, client experience, and community engagement of the Gallery, ensuring it reflects Emser's brand standards and inspires high-end residential, commercial, hospitality, and design-driven clientele.
This position will not manage an assigned account base but will work closely with and support the outside sales and A&D team by assisting with client visits, design consultations, product selections, sample coordination, showroom appointments, CEU classes and events. The role is intended to strengthen Emser's presence in the local design community, increase Gallery traffic, and support sales growth through an elevated client experience.
The ideal candidate is a polished, social, and design-focused professional with established relationships in the local A&D community. This individual will be responsible for engaging designers, architects, developers, custom home builders, luxury residential clients, hospitality firms, and industry partners when they visit the showroom, while supporting their needs and clearly communicating follow-up, project details, and opportunities back to the appropriate sales account holder/representative.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily operations, presentation, organization, and client experience of the Emser Design & Inspiration Gallery.
  • Serve as a professional brand ambassador for Emser Tile within the Miami design community.
  • Provide an elevated experience for high-end design clientele while building and leveraging strong relationships within the local A&D and design community to promote the Gallery, drive studio traffic, support market growth, and create new opportunities for the outside sales team.
  • Support the outside sales team by assisting with client visits, showroom appointments, design consultations, product selections, and project-related needs.
  • Take direction from the BDM to support segment-specific initiatives & targets, market priorities, and overall sales growth
  • Assist clients with tile, stone, mosaic, special order and surface selections based on project needs, design direction, budget, and application.
  • Coordinate with the appropriate outside sales representative on project opportunities, customer follow-up, samples, specifications, pricing requests, and next steps.
  • Manage and support the local Gallery social media presence, including content ideas, event promotion, product highlights, project features, and community engagement.
  • Plan, coordinate, and host showroom events, design community gatherings, product launches, CEU classes, Lunch & Learns, and networking events.
  • Partner with industry vendors and strategic partners to create meaningful events and educational opportunities.
  • Maintain all displays, samples, boards, merchandising, and sales support materials to ensure the Gallery is current, clean, organized, visually inspiring and aligned with Emser brand standards.
  • Ensure discontinued, damaged, outdated, or incomplete samples and displays are updated or removed in a timely manner.
  • Represent Emser Tile professionally at local industry events, design association functions, networking opportunities, (IIDA, NEWH, etc.)
  • Maintain a welcoming, social, polished, and professional studio environment that encourages client engagement and repeat visits.
  • Track and enter new leads, existing account visits, client interactions, and follow-up notes into the CRM to ensure the appropriate sales representative has visibility and can continue supporting the opportunity.

Qualifications (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience)
  • 2-4+ years of showroom, design studio, interior design, A&D, sales support, or luxury client-facing experience preferred.
  • Strong existing relationships within the Miami design, architecture, luxury residential, hospitality, or custom home builder community.
  • Experience working with high-end clientele and design professionals.
  • Tile, stone, flooring, surfacing, or interior finishes experience preferred.
  • Prior showroom, gallery, or design studio management experience preferred.
  • Ability to professionally present in-house CEU classes & product presentations.
  • Comfortable managing local social media content and promoting studio activity through digital channels.
  • Highly social, polished, professional, and comfortable building relationships in the design community.
  • Creative, proactive, and able to identify opportunities to increase studio visibility and client engagement.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate with outside sales and Business Development Manager to support sales growth.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred in the Miami market.
