Music Teachers at Bach to Rock use our instructor developed curriculum to provide students of all ages an exciting and inspiring education. By teaching theory and technique through the music students know and love, our music teachers develop musicians who enjoy performing, recording and even composing!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Teach private and semi-private lessons using our teacher-developed curriculum and cover song arrangements

* Create an encouraging, supportive, fun and focused lesson atmosphere

* Assess a student’s ability to join a band or ensemble

* May be asked to assist at school events

* May be given the opportunity to repair equipment with previous experience

Knowledge

* Must demonstrate and understanding of music concepts and be able to communicate those concepts to students

* Must have an advanced understanding of music theory and technique relevant to primary instrument

* Effective time management and organizational skills to keep students on task in a lesson

* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a variety of personalities

Experience

* Experienced performer (either solo or group)

* Experience working with youth

Language Skills

* Must have proficient English speaking and writing skills

* Additional language(s) are a plus
