COMPENSATION: $90,000-$95,000 annually
BONUS ELIGIBILITY: 10% bonus potential

PURPOSE

The STUDIO Product & Programming Manager is responsible for the end-to-end STUDIO programming product at VASA Fitness. This role drives STUDIO performance and business outcomes by reducing friction and churn in the STUDIO member journey, improving consistency and quality of the workout experience, and ensuring programming decisions are grounded in member behavior, feedback, and results.

By owning STUDIO programming, systems, and key vendor relationships, this role ensures members have a compelling, effective, and repeatable fitness experience that drives participation, retention, and long-term fitness outcomes at scale across all clubs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES AND COMPETENCIES

STUDIO Programming Product Ownership

  • Own the end-to-end STUDIO programming product across all formats, including roadmap, standards, playbooks, and ongoing evolution.
  • Lead in-house workout programming development and/or manage external consultants and programming partners, ensuring all deliverables align with VASA formats, operational realities, and brand standards.
  • Ensure programming is progressive, scalable, and designed to improve member outcomes and repeat participation.

Programming Rollout, Enablement & Alignment

  • Develop product-level learning, enablement materials, and communication for product updates.
  • Package and release programming changes in a clear, repeatable, and operationally sound way.
  • Host and lead a monthly STUDIO programming call to align STUDIO leadership and field teams on upcoming programming, priorities, and expectations.

Music & Workout Technology Systems

  • Own music programming operations, including playlist intake, approval standards, and distribution.
  • Serve as product owner for STUDIO workout technology systems, including Myzone administration, access, quality control, and integration into the member experience.

Vendor & Platform Management

  • Serve as the primary owner for STUDIO-related vendors and platforms.
  • Evaluate, onboard, manage, and transition external partners as needed, or lead development of in-house solutions when appropriate.
  • Ensure vendor solutions support product goals, operational efficiency, and member experience consistency.

Member Experience & Voice of the Customer

  • Deeply understand STUDIO member personas and act as the voice of the customer for STUDIO programming.
  • Partner with Consumer Insights to analyze participation, retention, feedback, and outcomes data.

Identify where and why members drop out of STUDIO participation and translate insights into programming and product improvements

Requirements

  • Personal training certification from a nationally recognized organization (CSCS/NSCA preferred; NASM or comparable high-tier certifications also accepted)
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience working directly with clients in a fitness or studio environment
  • Experience creating scalable, progressive HIIT and strength programming across multi-unit fitness operations
  • Management experience in a boutique studio and/or large-format fitness club environment leading and developing group fitness instructors, trainers, and studio coaches, including ownership of learning and performance standards
  • Strong understanding of member behavior, retention drivers, and the operational realities of group fitness and studio programming

Preferred

  • Specialty certifications, particularly Group Fitness Instructor (GFI), Yoga, and/or Pilates.
  • Experience working with specialized populations
  • Experience partnering with consumer insights, marketing, or product teams to improve participation and retention outcomes

WORKING CONDITIONS

Primary work in a fitness facility and office setting. Temperature variations can occur. The environment includes some ambient noise such as talking and use of gym equipment and machinery.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Talking: Especially where one must frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • Physical Strength: Sitting, standing, and walking. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move a minimum of 30 pounds.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to deal with a variety of variables under limited standardization. Able to interpret various instructions and relay instructions to clients.
  • Attendance is an essential duty of the position. Employees must work regularly scheduled shifts, during business hours to assist members and sell services in-person.
