Position Summary

The Senior Civil Engineer will lead the planning, design, and delivery of a variety of municipal, commercial, and industrial site development projects. This role offers significant responsibility in project execution, client service, and team collaboration, with leadership opportunities available based on experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare engineering plans and construction documents utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Design site development projects including grading, drainage, utilities, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, and related infrastructure.
  • Support municipal, commercial, and industrial land development projects from concept through construction.
  • Coordinate utility layouts and collaborate with clients, agencies, and project stakeholders.
  • Prepare technical reports, calculations, and construction documentation.
  • Provide CAD support and technical guidance to engineering staff as needed.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables while ensuring high-quality project execution.
  • Mentor junior engineers and designers.
  • Depending on experience, provide project management or departmental leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of civil site design experience.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Experience with site development, grading, drainage, utility design, and stormwater management.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
