Job description

Provides support for the Worship Ministry and assists Student Worship at Prestonwood Baptist Church - Plano Campus ("PBC-PC").

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist visitors entering the Worship offices, respond to calls, and perform administrative duties
  • Assist with ordering office supplies, ministry kitchen supplies, and other general ministry supplies
  • Assist with regular weekly resource duties which may include FileMaker music library entries, Planning Center emails, creating and distributing translator packets, etc.
  • Assist the Student Worship Ministry with:
    • weekly communications to Student Choir families,
    • weekly rehearsal preparation,
    • maintaining FileMaker,
    • submitting purchase orders, check requests, contract requests, and room requests
  • Assist with Student Worship events, including registration, arranging meals, mission trip preparation, etc.
  • Assist with specific assigned responsibilities for Gift of Christmas
  • Assist where needed on Wednesday evenings (Kids Choir rehearsals, Adult Choir rehearsals)
  • Assist with recruiting volunteers and ensuring volunteer screening processes are followed
  • Assist with special events and projects when needed
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Strong communication skills both written and oral
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to work a Monday - Friday schedule with flexibility for evenings and PBC scheduled events
  • Ability to work at a desk with a computer screen for extended periods of time, occasionally perform physical activities that require moving one's whole body, such as walking, stooping, pushing/pulling a cart, and lifting up to 20 pounds without assistance
