FIREHOUSE MUSIC OF GEORGIA INC

Decatur, GA

Contractor

Posted 15 days ago

Job description

Firehouse Guitars & Music is hiring a Guitar Teacher to join our studio in Decatur, a wellknown small city in metro Atlanta. We’re a working music shop and lesson studio with a loyal local following — we want an instructor who can turn that into a full, growing roster of guitar students.

What you’ll do

• Teach private guitar lessons (acoustic and/or electric) across styles — rock, blues, folk, classical, whatever your strengths are

• Meet students where they are: absolute beginners through gigging players

• Build individualized lesson plans and track progress using MyMusicStaff, our lesson and teacher management platform

• Grow your own student roster through great teaching; Firehouse handles scheduling, billing, and studio space

• Represent Firehouse’s standard of professionalism in our shared teaching spaces

Must-have

• Strong playing ability and prior teaching experience (private, group, or camp)

• Reliable weekly availability during peak lesson hours (afternoons, evenings, and/or weekends)

• Own instrument(s) and instructional materials

Nice-to-have

• Experience across multiple genres or with music production/songwriting

• Comfort teaching beginner group settings (a plus, not required, for this role)

• Performance or gigging background in the Atlanta music scene

Compensation & terms

Independent contractor (1099) role, paid per lesson delivered under Firehouse’s standard flat-per-lesson pay schedule, on a twice-monthly payment cycle (15th and end of month). You control your availability and teaching volume — there’s no guaranteed minimum, and earnings scale directly with your roster. Full compensation details are shared during the interview process and formalized in Firehouse’s Independent Contractor Agreement.
