Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre is looking for fun, energetic and music-lovin' people to fill this season's job openings. This is a seasonal, hourly position that works concert days only. Training begins in April and the season concludes in September. Employment can carry over to the 2027 concert season.
Position Title: Concert Security Guard
The Role:
Guard, patrol, and/or monitor the venue premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules. May operate metal detector equipment.
Job Functions:
  • Circulate among guests and/or employees to preserve safety, order and to protect the venue property.
  • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, guests, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security and safety of the premises.
  • Perform possible searching of guests and bags prior to entry, continual patrol and monitoring of guest seating areas, entry control of secure areas.
  • Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.
  • Strive for a constant, safe and enjoyable atmosphere for our guests and employees by ensuring venue policies are followed by guests and employees.
  • Gain knowledge of all venue maps, seating charts and venue policies to appropriately answer questions if approached by guests.
  • Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
  • Escort or drive motor vehicle to transport individuals to specified locations or to provide personal protection.
  • Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.
  • Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators from premises.
  • May write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
  • Work in an outdoor environment in a variety of weather spring/summer weather conditions

Qualifications:
  • Applicants for this position are required to be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience required
  • Candidates considered for this position will undergo a background check and must be cleared for security guard licensing and training through St. Louis County Police. Successful applicants 18-20 years of age will be hired as a licensed security watchman; successful applicants 21+ will be hired as a licensed security guards.
  • Security/Law Enforcement experience preferred. Valid St. Louis County Security License is a plus.
  • Good working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment and enforcement procedures.
  • Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance; ability to make independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Acute sense of judgment, tact and diplomacy
  • A strong-sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs
  • Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50 lbs+ and occasional sitting
