Reports To: Sr. Museum Store Manager
Salary: $17.95 Hourly
Position Summary
The full time Museum Store Associate is very friendly, positive team member, and a contributing asset to our highly acclaimed gift shop. In sharing your exceptional customer service skills with our diverse, global clientele, the Museum Store Associate will be responsible for supporting the gift shops day-to-day operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding customer service to our museum guests.
  • Greeting and engaging our diverse clientele, as well as assisting in their selection process to ensure a memorable experience.
  • Performing the various sales and register transactions with great ease.
  • Facilitating the process with mail orders that are cultivated from our website.
  • Routinely organizing, straightening, and/or refilling product on our sales floor.
  • Supportive in merchandising our exclusive and meticulously selected retail.
  • Assists with back-stock organization to safeguard our balanced inventory levels.
  • Ensure all safety policies, rules and procedures are followed.
  • Professionally interacts as part of a team with all staff.
  • Promote our exhibits and encourage guests to become members of the museum.
  • Other duties as needed.

Education/Qualifications/Skills Requirements
  • High School degree/GED equivalent

Qualifications
  • One to three years of previous retail/sales experience
  • Outstanding verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Excellent judgment
  • A desire to serve, assist, and help others
  • Must be willing to work flexible work schedules, including evenings and weekends.
  • Passionate about the Bible and will champion our mission to invite all people to engage with the transformative power of the Bible.

  • Previous experience in the hospitality, museum and/or in a customer service/customer facing role is preferred.

Work Environment
  • Physical demands/requirements are as follows:
  • Stand for long periods of time, up to 8 hours.
  • Lift up to 30 lbs. for short periods of time.
  • Squat bending at the knees.
