Senior Calypso Business Analyst (MOA & L3 Functional Support)


Location: Montreal, QC ; hybrid (3 days/week on-site)


What you'll do:

Senior Business Analyst track (Project & Functional Evolution — 70%)

  • Lead the full lifecycle of major functional transformation projects (e.g., T+1) on the Calypso platform
  • Write functional specifications and act as the bridge between Business lines (Prime Brokerage, Fixed Income, Equities) and IT/Development teams
  • Coordinate the implementation of new markets, brokers, and reporting tools
  • Design and execute manual and automated test scenarios, including non-regression testing
  • Lead UAT activities and change management
  • Own project governance, risk identification, and planning


Functional Expert track (L3 Support & Global Coordination — 30%)

  • Resolve complex L3 functional issues
  • Mentor and validate the work of offshore teams (Mumbai) to ensure global standardization
  • Support the transition of cross-asset Global Markets activities


What you bring:

  • Deep Back Office expertise: settlements (bilateral, clearing, CCPs), accounting, trade life cycle
  • Strong business analysis (MOA) skills: scoping, functional specifications, non-regression testing
  • Project management experience: governance, risk identification, planning, change management
  • Solid SQL skills for data analysis and reconciliation
  • Knowledge of Calypso (Back Office modules), Front Office interfaces, and reporting tools
  • Strong stakeholder management skills (Front Office, Finance, regulators, brokers, custodians, CCPs)
  • Proven ability to coordinate global teams and mentor offshore staff
  • Analytical mindset, rigor, ability to manage high-stakes projects in a complex regulatory environment


Note:

  • Hybrid role, on-site presence required 3 days/week in Montreal
  • English proficiency is required due to participation in meetings, conferences, trainings, or projects conducted in English.
  • This role combines two distinct skill registers (MOA project leadership + L3 technical support) - expect a narrow candidate pool; broaden sourcing if initial results are thin
