Job description

Position: Machine Operator
Pay: $19.68/hr.
Shift: 4:00 am to between 2:00 pm and 4:30 pm Mon-Sat(Must be able to stay and work until the work is completed. Saturdays are mandatory; 8 to 10 hours. If no production, must go in for preventative maintenance and work around 4 hours. Will work 55-60 hours a week.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and adjust packaging equipment for different products and package sizes
  • Perform machine changeovers, including film, tooling, and parts replacement
  • Monitor packaging operations to ensure seals, labels, weights, and quality standards are met
  • Make routine adjustments to maximize efficiency and reduce downtime
  • Inspect finished products and packaging for defects and quality issues
  • Troubleshoot minor mechanical and electrical issues and report to maintenance
  • Maintain accurate production, quality, waste, and downtime records
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, OSHA, and safety protocols

Qualifications
  • Experience operating thermoforming and packaging equipment like Tiromat or Multivac preferred
  • Prior experience in food manufacturing or packaging is a plus
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Basic math skills (weights, measures, quantities)
  • Ability to work in refrigerated and temperature-controlled environments
