Job description

Job Title:  Sales Representative-LabDepartment: SalesSalary: $45,000-65000 + commission 

The Sales Representative is responsible for direct sales within described geographical territory.  They are the principal point of contact between a business and its customers. Sales reps ensure current customers have the right products and services, identify new markets and customer leads, and pitch prospective customers. 

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Implement product sales strategies to ensure sales goals and targets are achieved.
  • Make visits or cold calls to potential customers and increase sales.
  • Work with supervisor to develop and execute sales plan.
  • Provide sales information to the supervisor to support the development of the proposed forecast.
  • Utilize selling skills to ensure customer needs are met and territory sales targets are achieved through regular customer contact.
  • Identify new business opportunities and gain new or expanded business within the territory while maintaining existing business.
  • Communicate market intelligence to the sales and marketing team.
  • Attend marketing activities, conferences, health talks, exhibitions, booths, and trade displays as required.
  • Conduct video showings/slide presentations/in-service/trials/market research and advocate speaker meetings with customer base, as required.
  • Develop and maintain territory and customer records.
  • Attend regular departmental meetings with the manager to build in continuous feedback.
  • Ensure all activities in the territory are executed with professionalism and comply with Healgen standards and the Code of Conduct.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a science discipline or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience. Experience gained in multinational medical device companies will be an advantage.
  • Demonstrated a history of overachieving sales targets.
  • Ability to quickly absorb clinical information.
  • Responds quickly & being proactive.
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal.
  • Experiences of sales in reference labs, LDT, clinical labs, Research labs are preferred.
